brought a mobo from doctor bob, put a 5 star rating on here without checking mobo ( as i have never had a problem on these forums before), i never had a cpu to test the mobo, as it was for a system build, when i did get hold of a cpu the board would not post , i am still trying to get a result from asus regarding rma as they say you pays your monies and takes your chance !!!!!!!!!! beware !!!!!! null Last edited by wazi |

Easy to deal with, prompt responses. Shipped when promised, so no complaints there. Only minor niggle I could come up with, and I'm not sure it's possible, is that the components were wrapped directly in bubble wrap, rather than an anti-static bag first - not sure if that creates static or not, but if not, then no complaints at all. Can't test as yet, but I'm sure every thing's working as it should be. //edit 16/12/2006: Item tested yesterday, and I am happy to say it works perfectly, so it seems my fears over the bubble-wrap appear unfounded. Unfortunately I cannot respond to the rating you have given me, so I will respond here. The facts are: 1) You bought a mobo from me in Dec 2007 & left a Trust rating of 5/5, even though you had not tested the mobo. You did not require the receipt as part of the deal. 2) In April 2008, 5 months after the transaction, you informed me the mobo did not work & that you wanted the receipt. 3) In July 2008 you amend the trust rating to 1/5 & warn other users to 'Beware'. 4) If you had informed me of the problem in a reasonable period of time I would have given you a refund, but after 5 months I think I did all I could. The retailer I bought it from would not accept an RMA due the the time that had passed & the mobo had to be RMA'd to ASUS. You do not need the receipt to RMA it to ASUS. 5) I'll let the Users here look at both of our trusts & decide who they should be wary of! |
